Terra Layne is a multifaceted artist passionate about bringing complex characters to life on stage and screen. Formally trained at the Lee Strasberg Institute in NYC, Terra is a method actor who infuses their performances with a raw and authentic intensity. With an athletics, modeling, and writing background Terra brings a dynamic perspective to their craft. Their talent has been recognized by several film festivals, including the Rhode Island International Film Festival: Flickers, where Terra won Best Performance, and the Revolution Me Film Festival, where they were awarded Best Actress. Terra was also nominated for Best Actress at the Boston Scifi Festival for their captivating lead role in Chimera.
Terra is an active member on stage, as an actor and director, working with writers such as Gracie Gardner, Matthew Gasda, Roman D’Ambrosio, and Richie Radici. Working on projects at Arts on Site, Adult Film, Brooklyn Center for Theater Research, WAH Center, and more.
About Terra Layne
Terra graduated from the University of Vermont with a dual degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Terra explored the world outside the US for two years, working abroad and traveling unconventionally. Some of these adventures include hiking New Zealand’s Te Araroa for 2.5 months by themself, hiking the Annapurna Circuit in the Himalayas, and cycling from Istanbul to Venice. A self-proclaimed extreme sports enthusiast, in their free time, you can catch them out surfing the beaches of NYC, teaching tennis, which they played semi-professionally, and practicing yoga & meditation on the beach with Pooja, a 41-year-old parrot.
